How can design turn a subculture into a signal? By fusing technical precision with narrative grit to create a wearable emblem of belonging.
Slash-32 is reimagining techwear — not as a trend, but as a movement. Founded by IT analyst and U.S. Army veteran Darrien Jackson, the brand speaks directly to the insider tech community with a voice that is equal parts innovation, wit, and cultural fluency. A pioneer at the intersection of fashion, advocacy, and technology, Slash-32 brings purpose to every pixel, stitching connection into every garment.
Our collaboration began with a single phrase: F0r H0sts 0nly — a code, a calling, a knowing nod to those on the inside. Inspired by the atmospheric worlds of sci-fi and cyberpunk, we translated this message into a graphic that blends dystopian aesthetics with digital vernacular. Designed with textured restraint and intentional distortion, the final mark becomes a beacon for community — seen only by those who are meant to see it.
But the work transcended a single graphic. Slash-32’s vision is rooted in access and amplification, notably through partnerships with HBCUs to foster curiosity and opportunity in tech spaces often overlooked. As the brand expands its reach, its identity continues to evolve — bold, distinct, and unapologetically aligned with its mission.
From subcultural signal to visual strategy, this is design in service of identity, belonging, and change.
